Norway and Dunfermline young people meet in Dunfermline
A party of young people arrived in Dunfermline on August 14th 2016 for a visit to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the first visit to Dunfermline by young people from Trondheim in 1946.
The group were hosted by Dunfermline young people from Tower House and stayed at the Scout HQ at Fordell Firs.
There was a four day conference at the City Chambers, where issues related to Democracy and Scottish Culture were explored and the group reflected on the EU referendum and the refugee crisis. The young people also participated in leisure activities such as bowling, a Band Night at Tower House and adventure golf. There was a social evening hosted by the Dunfermline Trondheim Twinning Association (see photograph) plus a visit to Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish Parliament. A Civic Reception and Ceilidh at the City Chambers Dunfermline was hosted by Fife Council.
